I'm celebrating the news of our recent approval to adopt a little girl from China! This is the day that the Lord has made. I will rejoice and be glad in it!

I have had “life-long” girlfriends since 1974 and we are always in contact. We meet about every three months or so for dinner, shopping and/or a weekend get-away. We met recently at a Mexican restaurant. I decided to wear my new “I’m Celebrating” t-shirt. I wanted to see their reaction. They were already sitting at the table when I arrived. The first thing they said was “Cute shirt! What are you celebrating?” I said “You and our life-long friendship!”. They said, “We want one!” and commented on how you could celebrate anything at anytime. And they were right. I’ve worn my shirt during Easter celebrating Christ. I’ve worn it celebrating my mom. And, I’ve worn it to celebrate friends. Whatever the occasion. I love my tee!

I wore my "I'm Celebrating" tee to the "tea party" that was held on April 15th at The Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. Many folks asked me why I was celebrating. I certainly celebrate all of the freedoms that this great country affords us -- like freedom of speech, the freedom to assemble and the freedom to bear arms. But the one thing I have the most fun sharing is that I am a 15-year cancer survivor. It never fails to touch the person I tell this to because it seems that everyone knows someone who has gone through cancer or is currently being treated for it. Wearing this shirt allows me to spread hope to others and that brings me a lot of joy!
